Women’s FA Cup semi-final draw

Although our 2020/21 campaign has only just begun, there is unfinished business in the FA Cup for Emma Hayes’s side as last season’s competition picks up from the quarter-final stage, following the suspension of women’s football in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

If we win our tie against Everton, which is set to take place in the North-West on Sunday 27 September, we will be away to either Brighton & Hove Albion or Birmingham City after former Blues left-back Claire Rafferty conducted the draw at half-time of our game against Bristol City. The other semi-final will see Leicester City or Manchester City take on Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur.

There will be a swift turnaround between ties, with the semi-finals set to be played in the following midweek on 30 September or 1 October.

The final is then scheduled to take place on Sunday 1 November at Wembley Stadium, the ground where the Blues were crowned FA Cup winners in 2015 and 2018.

Should we lift the trophy, it will complete a first-ever domestic Treble for Chelsea Women as we have already secured the Barclays Women’s Super League title and Continental League Cup.
