New deal for Broja

The young striker, who will turn 20 in September, spent last season on loan in the Eredivisie with Vitesse Arnhem, where he made 34 appearances. His 11 goals helped the Dutch side to a fourth-place finish and the final of the KNVB Cup, in which they were beaten by Ajax, and ensured he finished the campaign as one of the top-scoring teenagers in Europe.

Prior to that maiden loan move, the Albanian international made his senior Chelsea debut in March 2020, coming off the bench in a Premier League encounter with Everton that proved to be our last action before football’s suspension due to Covid-19. Broja has been on the books with the Blues since the end of his Under-9 season, always playing as an attacker and scoring goals throughout his rise up the ranks at Cobham.
