The 50 Most Expensive Real Madrid Signings Ever

Real Madrid have been extremely busy in making new signings ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Following an underwhelming campaign which included three managerial changes, Los Blancos have already made five big money signings to massively bolster their squad. However, they are no strangers to making lucrative signings, as shown over the last two decades.

Here’s a look at the 50 most expensive Real Madrid signings ever.

50. Rafael van der Vaart – €15m (2008)

Madrid's Dutch midfielder Rafael van der

Van der Vaart begins this list, after his €15m move from Hamburg.

The Dutchman signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid but only spent two seasons at the Bernabeu, leaving in 2010. Following his departure, he played for five clubs over eight years before retiring in 2018.

49. Ruud van Nistelrooy – €15m (2006)

Ruud Van Nistelrooy

After five glorious years at Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy swapped Manchester for Madrid in 2006.

He continued his goalscoring form in style, netting an impressive 64 goals in 96 appearances and helping Los Blancos to back to back La Liga titles.

48. Elvir Baljić – €15.6m (1999)

SOCCER-CHAMPIONS-BARCELONA-GALATASARAY

Baljić is one of just two 20th century signings on this list, having joined Real in 1999 for €15.6m.

The Bosnian-Herzegovinian winger signed from Fenerbahce, but injury problems and poor form meant that Baljić made 19 appearances in three years – scoring just one goal in his stint there.

47. Émerson – €16m (2006)

Sevilla's Brazilian midfielder Renato (R...

A one-season wonder at the Bernabeu, Emerson signed from then-Serie B side Juventus for €16m.

The Brazilian was a regular starter as a defensive midfielder, but that wouldn’t last long as 13 months later he returned to Italy – sold to Milan for just €5m.

46. Dani Ceballos – €16.5m (2017)

Dani Ceballos,Camilo Hernandez

Ceballos is one of Real Madrid’s more recent acquisitions, moving to the capital from Real Betis in 2017.

While he is still in his early Los Blancos days, the Andalusian made 23 appearances in 2018/19 and has plenty of time ahead of him, with his contract running until 2023.

45. Brahim Díaz – €17m (2019)

FBL-ESP-LIGA-REAL MADRID-EIBAR

Díaz entered this list in early 2019, after signing for an impressive fee of €17m from Manchester City.

The 19-year-old made nine league appearances last season, and while it may seem like a heavy fee for such a young player, his future potential may well make up for it.

44. Mesut Özil – €18m (2010)

Mesut Ozil

Özil made his first big move in 2010, moving to the Bernabeu from Werder Bremen.

The German playmaker made 159 appearances for Los Blancos and won three domestic honours, before turning a significant profit for Real as he joined Arsenal for €50m in 2013.

43. Jonathan Woodgate – €18.3m (2004)

Jonathan Woodgate

Widely debated to be one of the worst Real Madrid signings of all time, Woodgate joined Real Madrid for €18.3m in 2004.

The English defender mustered 14 appearances over his three-year career in the Spanish capital, before returning to his hometown club Middlesbrough.

42. Lassana Diarra – €20m (2009)

Francisco Suarez,Lassana Diarra

Diarra joined Real Madrid from Portsmouth in 2009, signing for a fee of €20m.

The French midfielder spent three years at the Bernabeu and was an important player for Real, helping them to the La Liga title in 2012 before he departed for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

41. Júlio Baptista – €20m (2005)

Julio Baptista

After two years in southern Spain with Sevilla, Baptista made a €20m move to the capital in 2005.

The Brazilian forward got 13 goals and six assists in 77 appearances, and finished his Los Blancos career in 2008 with a move to Serie A and Roma.

40. Fernando Gago – €20.5m (2006)

Real Madrid's Argentinian Fernando Gago

Real Madrid spent €20.5m on Fernando Gago, a young Argentine midfielder who had impressed in his home country at Boca Juniors.

Gago had a successful career at the Bernabeu, making 121 appearances and winning four domestic honours in his five-year stint in Madrid.

39. Mariano Díaz – €21.5m (2018)

Mariano

Real re-signed Mariano Díaz from Lyon in 2018, as they splashed €21.5m on the Dominican striker.

However, it was a peculiar signing – due to the fact that Díaz had spent six years at the club before his move to Lyon, earning his breakthrough in the reserve teams at Real.

38. Theo Hernández – €24m (2017)

Theo Hernandez

Hernández signed for Real Madrid in 2017, making the move across from city rivals Atlético Madrid.

After the 19-year-old spent last season out on loan at Real Sociedad, he will be eager to try and regain his place in Zinedine Zidane’s first team for the upcoming season.

37. Robinho – €24m (2005)

Robinho

In 2005, Los Blancos bought Santos youngster Robinho for a fee of €24m.

While Real were hoping the Brazilian would be a star for the future, his career soon faded and he was sold to Manchester City for €43m after three years and 137 appearances.

36. Flávio Conceição – €25m (2000)

FUSSBALL: CL FINALE 2002, BAYER 04 LEVERKUSEN

Conceição moved to the Bernabeu at the prime of his career, as he signed from Deportivo La Coruña at the start of the millennium.

Despite his limited game-time across his four-year stint in Madrid, he was part of the 2002 Champions League winning team and won two league titles.

35. Wálter Samuel – €25m (2004)

Real Madrid Argentinian Walter Samuel wi

In the same window that Conceição left Madrid, Wálter Samuel came in from Roma for a fee of €25m.

The Argentine centre-back made 40 appearances for Real but ended up only staying for one season, before leaving for Inter where he spent a remarkable nine years.

34. Toni Kroos – €25m (2014)

Toni Kroos

When looking back on this signing, €25m seems like an absolute bargain for Kroos in today’s market.

Joining from German heavyweights Bayern Munich in 2014, Kroos has since made an outstanding 233 appearances and won 11 major honours, including three Champions Leagues.

33. Mahamadou Diarra – €26m (2006)

Mahamadou Diarra,Angel Martinez

Diarra sits just ahead of Kroos in this list, as he joined from Lyon for €26m in 2006.

The Malian midfielder spent five years at the Bernabeu, and after playing a pivotal role in the Madrid midfield for years a string of devastating injury problems eventually contributed to his departure in 2011.

32. Wesley Sneijder – €27m (2007)

Wesley Sneijder,Aitor Tornavaca Fernandez

In 2007, Los Blancos went over to Ajax to bring in the young talented midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

While the Dutchman only spent two seasons at the Bernabeu they were two very good ones, as he registered 11 goals and 11 assists before moving to Inter.

31. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar – €27m (2009)

Vladimir Stojkovic,Klaas Jan Huntelaar

A year-and-a-half after Sneijder switched Amsterdam for Madrid, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar followed suit in 2009.

Joining his first club outside of his native Netherlands, Huntelaar only managed 20 appearances for Los Blancos before stints at Milan, Schalke and finally a return to Ajax in 2017.

30. Sergio Ramos – €27m (2005)

Sergio Ramos

Joining as a fresh-faced 19-year-old from Sevilla in 2005, Ramos turned into one of Real Madrid’s greatest ever captains. 14 years after arriving for a cool €27m, the Spanish captain has won an incredible 20 trophies and counting and made over 600 appearances for Real.

What is even more remarkable is, at the age of 33, Ramos still looks like continuing at the Bernabeu for many years to come, as he hopes to build on his fantastic legacy at a club where he has won every single trophy possible in club football.

29. Fábio Coentrão – €30m (2011)

Fabio Coentrao

After Coentrão put an end to his Real Madrid career last year with a move to Rio Ave, it brings an end to an, erm, loyal era at the Bernabeu.

The Portuguese arrived in Madrid in 2011 from Benfica, but found himself excluded from first team matters for a large part of his stay.

28. Isco – €30m (2013)

Francisco Roman Alarcon alias Isco

Isco joined Los Blancos in 2013 from Málaga, signing for a fee of €30m.

The Spanish playmaker has been at Real for the last six years, making 277 appearances and amassing a total of 100 goals and assists as he hopes to continue his time at the Bernabeu.

27. Álvaro Odriozola – €30m (2018)

FBL-ESP-LIGA-REAL MADRID-HUESCA

Real acquired Odriozola from Real Sociedad in 2018, as they looked to bring a young full-back into the squad.

After making a handful of appearances in his debut season, the Spaniard will surely hope to establish himself in the Real Madrid backline within the next few years.

26. Pepe – €30m (2007)

Real Madrid Football Club's new midfield...

After joining from Porto for €30m 12 years ago, Pepe became a crucial player in the Real Madrid defence.

The Portuguese defender went on to make 334 appearances for Los Blancos in a career spanning a decade, before spending a season at Besiktas and returning to Portugal and Porto in January 2019.

25. Álvaro Morata – €30m (2016)

Alvaro Morata

Born and bred in Madrid, Real signed Spanish talisman Álvaro Morata from Juventus for €30m.

Having previously spent six years in Los Blancos’ youth and reserve sides, Morata only managed another season at the Bernabeu before his ill-fated move to Chelsea in 2017.

24. Danilo – €31.5m (2015)

FBL-ESP-REALMADRID-DANILO

Danilo joined Real Madrid from Porto for €31.5m, relocating to Madrid at the age of 23.

After two seasons and 56 outings for the La Liga side, the Brazilian went over to England to play for Manchester City in 2017, where he has since won back to back Premier League titles.

23. Asier Illarramendi – €32m (2013)

Asier Illarramendi 'Illara'

Having spent his whole career at boyhood club Real Sociedad, Illarramendi did spend two years at Los Blancos when they signed him for €32m.

However, the Basque midfielder would only remain in the capital for two years, until he returned to San Sebastian in 2015 – where he has been ever since.

22. Ángel Di María – €33m (2010)

Angel Di Maria

Di María joined Real from Benfica in 2010, and went on to help Los Blancos to six major honours in his time at the club.

His career with Los Blancos would last four years, until he ended up at Paris Saint-Germain via a season at Manchester United in 2014.

21. Xabi Alonso – €34.5m (2009)

Xabi Alonso

Alonso was recruited for €34.5m in 2009, as he left Liverpool to return to his native Spain for the first time in five years.

The Spaniard made 236 appearances for Los Blancos and was a key central midfielder, before finishing his trophy-laden career at Bayern.

20. Nicolas Anelka – €35m (1999)

Nicolas Anelka

In a career lasting 19 years and 13 clubs, Anelka’s time at the Bernabeu was short lived. Despite Real splashing €35m to bring the Frenchman in from Arsenal, he only managed seven goals in 33 appearances – playing less than he would at Fenerbahce and Bolton Wanderers.

While his transfer was not the greatest success the club had endured, Anelka did help Los Blancos retain the Champions League in 2000, as they secured their eighth European crown.

However, two months later he was gone, signing a six-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

19. Arjen Robben – €35m (2007)

Arjen Robben

Robben arrived in Madrid from Chelsea, having helped the Blues to back to back league titles.

He was signed for €35m in 2007, winning La Liga in his debut season. The Dutchman would spend two years at the Bernabeu before starting his decade-long career with Bayern in 2009.

18. Karim Benzema – €35m (2009)

FBL-ESP-LIGA-REAL MADRID-BILBAO

When Benzema joined from Lyon as a 21-year-old, it was hard to predict that a decade later he’d still be as prolific.

Ten years after moving to Madrid, he has scored an excellent 222 goals in 465 appearances, all but making up for his initial price tag of €35m.

17. Luka Modrić – €35m (2012)

Luka Modric

Modrić’s arrival seven years ago was almost revolutionary for Los Blancos, as he quickly established himself as a key part of their midfield.

He joined from Tottenham in 2012, and seven years later he remains just as important and just as good as he was when he arrived.

16. Thibaut Courtois – €35m (2018)

Thibaut Courtois

Having arrived last summer from Chelsea, Courtois’ debut season between the Real Madrid sticks has been a bumpy ride. After a controversial exit from London where he deliberately missed two days of training, the Belgian earned his dream move to the Spanish capital.

As Los Blancos’ most expensive goalkeeper ever, he has had a lot of expectations to live up to. While there have been some good moments for Courtois, his arrival during Real’s disastrous season means that he will have a crucial campaign ahead of him.

15. David Beckham – €37.5m (2003)

FBL-SPAIN-REAL MADRID-REAL SOCIEDAD

After 11 years at United, Beckham’s move to the Bernabeu was huge.

The Englishman was signed for €37.5m as a Galáctico, in a successful four-year tenure with Los Blancos. Beckham made 159 appearances, yet he only won two trophies before signing for LA Galaxy in 2007.

14. Mateo Kovačić – €38m (2015)

Mateo Kovacic

After Modrić’s big money move three years earlier, Kovačić’s €38m move from Inter made him Real’s most expensive Croat signing ever.

Four years later, he has just finished a season on loan at Chelsea and it appears he’ll be going there permanently, too. For a profit. Well played.

13. Ronaldo – €45m (2002)

Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldo waves

Part of the first generation of the famous Galácticos, Ronaldo was also brought in from Inter after he helped Brazil win their record fifth World Cup in South Korea and Japan. Despite having spent five years at Barcelona, the Brazilian superstar was welcomed in with open arms.

Ronaldo spent five years at the Bernabeu, yet injury limited him to 177 appearances. While his appearance tally was low, his goalscoring record was clinical, as he scored 104 times before departing Madrid and returning to the other side of Milan in 2007.

12. Vinícius Júnior – €45m (2018)

FBL-ESP-LIGA-REAL MADRID-ALAVES

16 years after the revolutionary signing of Ronaldo, Real completed the signing of 18-year-old Vinícius Júnior for the same fee.

The Brazilian joined from Flamengo in his native country, having just completed his debut season at the Bernabeu as he hopes for many more.

11. Rodrygo – €45m (2019)

FBL-ESP-BRA-REAL MADRID

The first of Real Madrid’s 2019 summer signings to enter the list, 18-year-old winger Rodrygo was signed earlier this month, following eight years with Santos.

The Brazilian has already been capped for the under-20 national side, and has signed a six-year contract at Real.

10. Ferland Mendy – €48m (2019)

FBL-ESP-FRA-REAL MADRID

Mendy is another one of Florentino Perez’s summer signings, as he recruited yet another player from French side Lyon.

Mendy spent eight years in Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy before moving to Le Havre – he then he arrived at Lyon before moving to Madrid.

9. Éder Militão – €50m (2019)

FBL-POR-LIGA-AVES-PORTO

Real Madrid spent a cool €50m on Éder Militão, the Brazilian defender who spent just one season at Porto.

Militão joins Los Blancos on 1 July, having earned his first four caps for Brazil and earning a call-up for the Selecao’s Copa America squad.

8. Luís Figo – €60m (2000)

Real Madrid's Portuguese Luis Figo (L) c

Luís Figo is arguably the most controversial signing on this list, purely because he made the dreaded switch from Barcelona. Los Blancos managed to convince their arch rivals from Catalonia to part ways with the Portuguese, paying €60m in 2000 to bring him to Madrid.

Figo scored 56 goals in 245 appearances for Real, scoring more goals in less appearances than in his time with the Blaugrana. His five-year stint at the Bernabeu brought instant success, as Real won seven trophies in his first three years at the club in a glittering career.

7. Luka Jović – €60m (2019)

FBL-ESP-LIGA-REALMADRID-JOVIC

Jović earned a well-deserved move to the Bernabeu in 2019, after a stellar season with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 21-year-old Serbian striker was red hot property, and Los Blancos will be hoping that he enjoys a wonderful career as a new Galáctico.

6. Kaká – €67m (2009)

Real Madrid's Brazilian midfielder Kaka

In 2009, Kaká joined Real for a hefty fee of €67m, which Milan relished.

The Brazilian was with Los Blancos for four years, making 120 appearances and tallying 29 goals and 39 assists before returning to the Rossoneri in 2013.

5. James Rodríguez – €75m (2014)

James Rodriguez

James was intended to be the first new Galáctico, after he was signed from Monaco following an excellent World Cup with Colombia in 2014.

Unfortunately, the Colombian has struggled to fully live up to his price tag, as he prepares to return to Real after a two-year loan with Bayern.

4. Zinedine Zidane – €77.5m (2001)

Real Madrid's Zinedine Zidane shoots to score the

€77.5m for a transfer fee is still a large fee today, so to think how enormous it was in 2001 when Zinedine Zidane came to Real Madrid is remarkable. Los Blancos paid the big money to Juventus, as he won six trophies in five years before retiring as a player in 2006.

However, Zizou would be back ten years later, as he took over at the helm as Real Madrid manager in 2016. Despite leaving in 2018 after winning three unprecedented Champions League titles in a row, he is now back in charge and ready to do business again.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo – €94m (2009)

Real Madrid's new player Portuguese Cris

Cristiano Ronaldo remains a Real Madrid icon, despite leaving for a new challenge in 2018. Back in 2009, Los Blancos paid a world record fee of €94m to Manchester United to bring in him, and it turned out to be far more than value for money.

In ten years at the Bernabeu, Ronaldo’s stats are out of this world – 438 appearances, 450 goals, 131 assists and 15 trophies – CR7 did it all. While his departure marked the end of an incredible era, Real Madrid can certainly be happy that he fulfilled his hype and his price tag.

2. Eden Hazard – €100m (2019)

FBL-ESP-BEL-REAL MADRID

One of the longest running transfer speculations in recent times came to an end at the start of June, as Eden Hazard signed for Real Madrid. After seven spectacular years at Chelsea and a flourishing international career at captain of Belgium, €100m seems worth it for Hazard.

Whether he will in fact live up to his price tag is unknown, but if he continues the way he was playing for the Blues then there is no doubt whatsoever. The Belgian has huge expectations, but as he lives his dream you can only relish to see what he has to offer Los Blancos.

This one has the potential to become the highest ever fee, too, given the potential add-ons agreed in the deal with Chelsea.

1. Gareth Bale – €101m (2013)

FBL-ESP-GBR-REALMADRID-BALE

While Hazard’s astounding transfer fee came close, Gareth Bale remains the most expensive Real Madrid signing ever. In 2013, Real Madrid paid Tottenham an incredible €101m for the Welshman, which was a world record transfer fee at the time.

Having broken onto the English scene at Spurs, Bale became hot property and Los Blancos were determined to sign him. Since then, he has scored 102 goals in 231 appearances, won 13 major honours and become a world class player at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Whether his time at Real Madrid is coming to its conclusion is still unknown, but what is certain is that he has fulfilled his hefty price tag. For now, Bale remains the most expensive signing in Real Madrid history, but there’s no doubt that that will change within a matter of years.

FIFA 20 VOLTA: Which Clubs Will Be the Best on EA Sports New Street-Style Mode

After seven agonising years of waiting, FIFA gamers are finally being treated to a new street football option from EA Sports.

Ditching the ‘FIFA Street’ name, VOLTA Football is the latest panna-fest that will be released as part of FIFA 20.

With 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, Rush options and Professional Futsal, alongside both online play and a story mode, there’s certainly plenty to keep players occupied.

Most intriguingly, along with your own, customisable baller, all the licensed teams in FIFA 20 are available in VOLTA.

With a wealth of teams to choose from, which club currently has the best squad for a game of off-the-wall, concrete-floored, skill-soaked street football?

Ground Rules

Obviously, with so many modes coming to VOLTA, the answer to who the best side is varies. For the sake of this list, a side’s ability will be judged for classic street 5-a-side: no refs, walls up, keepers in net. The teams will be ranked based on the completeness of their five-man teams and one substitute.

Players must be technically gifted on the ball to be a useful street football player, so players such as Toni Kroos, who are considered top players in an 11-a-side team as they are masters at their role, won’t be seen in as high a regard here, as flair and dribbling will be the big priority.

Right then, ground rules set, let’s dive in.

10. Manchester United

Marcus Rashford

FORMATION: 1-1-2

SQUAD: De Gea, Bailly, Pogba, Rashford, Martial. SUB: Sanchez

It may have been a season to forget for Manchester United, but they do have some top individual talent that would make a decent 5-a-side team in VOLTA.

Rashford and Martial up top are two proven quick, skilful dribblers, with the ever-flamboyant Paul Pogba in behind them. The athletic De Gea fills the net and Eric Bailly holds down the defence; a rapid, strong defender who’s shown us that he isn’t afraid to take chances and run out from the defence with the ball at his feet.

9. Borussia Dortmund

FBL-GER-BUNDESLIGA-FREIBURG-DORTMUND

FORMATION: 1-1-2

SQUAD: Burki, Hummels, Reus, Sancho, T. Hazard. SUB: Witsel

A flurry of summer signings have already bolstered Dortmund’s skilful group of players. Although Burki may not be a top top goalkeeper, he now has the unit that is Mats Hummels back in yellow and black to keep the opposition away.

Marco Reus would hold down the midfield, pinging passes and taking on players himself. Up top is new signing Thorgan Hazard, a nimble and fast-thinking dribbler, and the proven trickster, Jadon Sancho, who has been embarrassing Bundesliga defenders all season on the turf. He’ll certainly be able to do the same on the streets.

8. Porto

FBL-POR-LIGA-PORTO-SPORTING

FORMATION: 2-1-1

SQUAD: ???, Danilo, Alex Telles, Brahimi, Aboubakar. SUB: Corona

Porto, although not considered a real top-tier side anymore, have some real ballers in their squad. With Brahimi in a playmaking role and Aboubakar up top, both of whom are 5-star skillers in FIFA Ultimate Team, there will be a strong attacking threat full of flair.

A sturdy defence made up of the attack-minded Alex Telles and the immensely strong Danilo would guard the goalkeeper. However, who will be in the net, is unclear. With Iker Casillas’ shock illness and Jose Sa heading to Olympiakos, Porto appear to have a lack of quality keepers. Someone will surely be bought in the transfer window, but who?

7. Manchester City

FBL-ENG-FACUP-MANCITY-WATFORD

FORMATION: 1-1-2

SQUAD: Ederson, Walker, De Bruyne, Aguero, Mahrez. SUB: Sterling

Premier League champions Manchester City have an incredibly talented squad on the turf, and certainly some skilful players who would impress on the concrete.

In Ederson, the Ciitzens have one of the world’s best keepers with the ball at his feet. He alone could potentially run through a team.

In front of him, the rapid Kyle Walker would close down attacking threats. A lone midfielder, the composed and precise Kevin de Bruyne can not only pick a pass but also jink his way past defenders. Up top, the clinical Sergio Aguero and the unpredictable Riyadh Mahrez, who put many a Premier League defender on the floor last season. Raheem Sterling would also be waiting in the wings as a sub to cause havoc.

6. Bayern Munich

Robert Lewandowski

FORMATION: 1-1-2

SQUAD: Neuer, Alaba, Thiago, Coman, Lewandowski. SUB: Gnabry

At Bayern’s disposable is arguably the best ball-playing goalkeeper in the world, Manuel Neuer. A team of five Neuers would be close to making this list on their own.

David Alaba would command the defence and Thiago would sit just in front as a technical midfielder. The rapid and skilful Kingsley Coman would run down either flank, taking defenders to the walls, and one of the world’s best finishers, Robert Lewandowski, would linger up top to get the goals with his clinical nature in front of goal.

Recently announced as Bayern’s Player of the Year, Serge Gnabry would be another skilful option on the bench.

5. Real Madrid

FBL-ESP-BEL-REAL MADRID

FORMATION: 1-1-2

SQUAD: Courtois, Marcelo, Modric, Bale, E. Hazard. SUB: Vinicius Junior

With the addition of Eden Hazard, Real Madrid now have the potential for an incredible looking street team.

The Belgian wizard would play up front alongside the pacey and powerful Gareth Bale.

In just behind would be Luka Modric, who has proven he’s also capable of the occasional bit of flamboyant play. Marcelo would, technically, be the team’s defender, but with such an attacking mindset, expect him to be up playing with Bale and Hazard majority of the time.

The towering figure of Courtois in net would likely be enough to prevent the goals on his own. Trickster Vinicius Junior would also be waiting on the bench to humiliate defenders.

4. Barcelona

Lionel Messi,Philippe Coutinho

FORMATION: 1-2-1

SQUAD: ter Stegen, Busquets, Coutinho, Messi, Suarez. SUB: Dembele

In goal, Barça have a top keeper in Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who can also pick a long pass from the back.

In defence would be Sergio Busquets. Although not an out-and-out defender, the World Cup winner has all the attributes to command the back, shut down attacks and also ping passes up to the forwards. An attacking-minded midfield of Phillipe Coutinho and the GOAT himself Lionel Messi would skip past defenders and also feed a clinical finisher in Luis Suarez. Also an aggressive character, Suarez would be a formidable opponent in a referee-less game of streetball.

If some more pace and trickery is needed, Ousmane Dembele will be a perfect substitute to inject just that into the team.

3. Liverpool

Sadio Mane,Virgil van Dijk,Roberto Firmino,Mohamed Salah

FORMATION: 1-3 (Fluid)

SQUAD: Alisson, van Dijk, Salah, Mane, Firmino. SUB: Keita

Champions League winners Liverpool have not only a top ball-playing keeper in Alisson, but also a top ball-playing centre back in Virgil van Dijk. Both solid defensively and with the ball at their feet, it’ll be a tall order trying to score past this pair.

With such a solid defence, that leaves Liverpool’s formidable attacking trio, Salah, Firmino and Mane, to tear up the opposition with quick passes and intricate dribbling runs. All proven attacking threats and all composed finishers, expect to concede a lot of goals when coming up against one of the most feared forward lines in football.

2. Paris Saint-Germain

FBL-FRA-LIGUE1-PSG-NIMES

FORMATION: 1-1-2

SQUAD: Areola, Silva, Veratti, Mbappe, Neymar. SUB: Di Maria

With Neymar and Mbappe as an attacking force, you have two of the world’s most skilful and imposing players. Neymar, who can’t go a couple of weeks without a clip of him humiliating a Ligue 1 defender cropping up, could potentially be the highest-rated player in VOLTA ahead of Messi and Ronaldo, if flair is prioritised over other aspects. With Mbappe alongside him he has a viciously fast, scarily composed player to add to the attacking threat.

As an anchoring midfielder would be Marco Veratti, a great all-round player who still has oodles of technical ability.

At the back, Thiago Silva will be halting attacks and could also run the ball out of defence himself. The only ‘weak’ link, and one of the reasons PSG miss out on the top spot, would be Areola in goal, after Gigi Buffon’s departure.

1. Juventus

Paulo Dybala,Douglas Costa,Alex Sandro,Rodrigo Bentancur,Miralem Pjanic,Blaise Matuidi,Cristiano Ronaldo

FORMATION: 1-2-1

SQUAD: Sczcesny, Sandro, Dybala, Costa, Ronaldo. SUB: Cuadrado

Juventus are a complete, technical, fast-paced team who could well dominate whatever cage, rooftop or underpass VOLTA will throw at them.

Spearheading the team is, of course, Cristiano Ronaldo. Bags of tricks, pace to burn, very physical and aggressive, able to win headers and play in other members of the team, Ronaldo may be the most complete footballer both on the turf and the streets.

Behind him in an attacking midfield two would be Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa. Both are incredibly tricky and quick players and can cover the small pitches quickly.

At the back I’ve gone for Alex Sandro, a technical and physical full back who can still do a good job at stopping opposing players in their tracks, however, Chiellini could definitely be used if a more solid defender was desired.

Sczcesny plays in net who, despite not being renowned for being a ball-playing keeper, will at least act as a solid shot-stopper.

Fabian Ruiz Set for New Contract at Napoli in Spite of Real Madrid Interest

Fabian Ruiz has reportedly agreed a new contract with Napoli, which will see the 23-year-old stay in Naples until 2024.

The Spanish midfielder is currently in Italy at the European U-21 Championships and has helped Spain to the semi-finals of the competition. Ruiz is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal upon his return from the tournament.

FBL-EURO-2020-ESP-SWE

Ruiz has been in the transfer headlines due to impressive performances at the Euros, with Real Madrid showing an interest in the midfielder as they look to add to their already expensive transfer total for this window.

With Ruiz having no release clause within his contract for Gli Azzurri, there was growing speculation around his future, despite only signing for the club for €30m from Real Betis in 2018.

However, Napoli have no interest in selling such a promising player and have insisted that Ruiz is not for sale, with Ruiz also claiming that he is happy at the club.

Speaking publicly to Sky Italia, Ruiz stated: I have a contract (until 2023) and I’m happy here – the fans can rest assured. I thank them for the support they gave us.”

As well as their desire to hold on to their own talent, Napoli are aiming to recruit Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez as well as Valencia’s Rodrigo Moreno, as they look to challenge Juventus in the 2019/20 campaign.

Ruiz will hope to improve on his performances from last season in Serie A, having played 27 times for Napoli, scoring five goals and assisting three.

Juventus Eyeing Blockbuster Summer Move for Real Madrid Star Isco

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly looking to sign out-of-sorts Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco this summer.

It’s been a revolving door policy in Madrid so far this summer, with a number of high profile signings jetting into the Spanish capital to help resurrect the fortunes of Zinedine Zidane’s ailing side.

The Old Lady, meanwhile, have recently appointed Maurizio Sarri as their new manager, and are keen to strengthen their squad once more as they look to retain their Serie A crown for a ninth successive season.

Isco Alarcon

A move for Isco does seem to a little out of the realms of possibility, but nevertheless Italian pubication II Corriere di Torino (via CalcioMercato) claim La Vecchia Signora want to sign him – and that a move could happen.

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is named as a potential casualty in Turin should the Spanish playmaker arrive, after enduring a difficult season in the shadow of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who arrived at the club last summer.

Isco scored six goals in 37 appearances for Real Madrid last season, also notching an assist. He largely struggled for gametime, though, and was a peripheral figure under former manager Santiago Solari, who was replaced by the returning Zidane in March.

The former Malaga star does have an eye watering €700m release clause, but it’s claimed a deal could be thrashed out for the paltry sum of €80m.

Should he arrive at Juve, Isco would fit into the Ross Barkley or Mateo Kovacic ‘creative’ midfield role that new boss Sarri oversaw in a 4-3-3 formation at Chelsea – albeit to a rather higher standard.

Isco - Soccer Player

Sarri’s side have also been linked with a surprise move for Inter striker Mauro Icardi, though any potential swap deal involving Dybala has allegedly been ruled out. With Gonzalo Higuain returning to the club this summer after loan spells away, no such deal is likely to take place.

Transfer Rumours: Cancelo in City Talks, Man Utd Eye Ben Yedder, West Ham Bid for Rondon & More

Manchester better strap themselves in for this one, as both City and United feature heavily in today’s edition of #dagoss.

We’ve coughed up a few of the hottest stories from around the continent to whet your appetites at least until, well, 24 hours later.

Put the kettle on, get comfy and enjoy the day’s transfer rumours, courtesy of none other than yours truly.

Manchester City & Juventus in London for Talks Over Joao Cancelo

FBL-EURO-2020-POR-TRAINING

Since neither Manchester nor Turin were deemed respectable places to discuss the future of Joao Cancelo, representatives from both sides have instead sought to thrash out a deal in the English capital.

Pep Guardiola has made the right back slot his number one priority this season, and a £44m move is now being discussed the bring the Portuguese to the Etihad. Tutto Mercato Web claim Juventus’ sporting director Fabio Paratici flew to London to meet with City, where a five-year-deal is being spoken about, presumably at a rather fancy restaurant.

A deal appears to be edging ever closer, and could well mean Danilo will finally seal a move away from the club, after having had one foot in Milan for what feels like an age now.

Manchester United Set Sights on Ben Yedder as Romelu Lukaku Nears Exit

Wissam Ben Yedder

Yes, United are in fact not first on the list today! However, don’t fret Red Devils fans, they’ll feature again before the end.

With Lukaku moving closer to the United exit door by the day, one of the few certainties in the club’s transfer plans is that they would need to sign an adequate replacement. Well, they might have found their man, if the Mirror are to be believed, as the club consider a swoop for Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder.

That said, in order for any move to take place (which France Football, via ABCdeSevilla, claim would need to be £36m), Lukaku and his team need to shift themselves into gear and get going, or else its all square at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes’ Agent Flies to England to Meet Premier League Duo

FBL-POR-LIGA-SPORTING-BENFICA

Portuguese publications have (yet again) issued a further development on the future of Sporting CP’s Bruno Fernandes. This time, O Jogo, relayed by Sport Witness, are claiming that the Fernandes’ agent Miguel Pinho is going to fly to England to hold talks with United and Tottenham, with ‘important developments’ to take place.

It’s a story that’s been rumbling on for some time now, with hopefully some clarification on any proposed deal to come to light in the coming days. That said, the publication does state that no bids have been lodged for the midfielder.

As is, the 24-year-old is still due to link up with his teammates on 4 July. I think we’d all be happy if this one just moved on and come to some sort of solution, regardless of what unfolds.

West Brom Reject Hammers’ Cash-Plus-Players Bid for Rondon

FBL-COPA AMERICA-2019-BRA-VEN

Oh Newcastle, poor, poor Newcastle.

The club are at one of their lowest points in recent years, and their top scorer of last season has more chance of re-joining them than Mike Ashley has of shifting 20kg by next week.

Such is the club’s situation that West Ham have sought to capitalise and sign the Salomon Rondon from under their noses. The Mirror speculate that the £10m bid included fringe players Sam Byram and Jordan Hugill but was knocked back by the Baggies – with the midlands outfit holding on for nearer £16.5m.

Manuel Pellegrini is keen to be reunited with the striker, whom he managed at Malaga, and would act as a direct replacement for the departing Andy Carroll. Currently away for the Copa America, Rondon looks like hot property in what is set to be another bonkers summer of Premier League spending.

Manchester City ‘Ahead’ of Napoli in Race for Everton

FBL-COPA AMERICA-2019-PER-BRA

No, not that Everton. The one who is tearing it up in Brazil for both his club side Gremio and the national squad at the Copa America.

Rumours linking the forward to City had come almost exclusively from Brazil, but now the Italian press have had their say with Radio Mars (via Calcio Napoli 24) claiming that Everton has been offered to Napoli for €35m. It is a move the Serie A side are supposedly weighing up.

However, the report goes on to suggest that the Citizens are still ‘ahead’ of Carlo Ancelotti’s side despite, as aforementioned, the only rumours coming out of his native country. An exciting prospect no doubt, but a Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez replacement? Hmm, not too sure.

Torino hold Armando Izzo Talks to Fend Off Arsenal & Everton

Armando Izzo

Yes, this time it is that Everton.

Gianluca Di Marzio is stating that both Arsenal and the Toffees are ‘ready to present’ a £25m bid for Italian central defender Izzo, prompting the club to hold talks with the players’ agent Urbano Cairo about his future.

The 27-year-old enjoyed a fine debut season for the Turin outfit, scoring four goals in 37 league appearances and earning his first international call-up this year.

But, regardless of Premier League interest, Cairo has made it clear his client is not for sale. Therefore, talks with Torino’s president looks likely to only be based extending his contract. Which, well, puts an end to that before Arsenal and Everton fans go on YouTube for his highlights reel and start waxing lyrical.

Martin Odergaard Weighing Up Loan Options Ahead of New Season

FBL-NED-EREDIVISIE-ARNHEM-UTRECHT

That’s right, he still exists, and he’s still on Real Madrid’s books.

Nevertheless, they still want to ship him off for the coming season with Bayer Leverkusen and Real Sociedad the two interested parties. It seemed as though a move to the Bundesliga was set to happen, but the Spanish side’s proposition has attracted the Norwegian’s attentions, claim the Daily Mail.

Los Blancos would favour a move to Leverkusen, who are in the Champions League, while the 20-year-old is supposedly caught in two minds.

Let’s be fair, though, he ain’t going back to Madrid, so only the truly foolish would turn down Champions League football over Spanish mid-table mediocrity. But hey, it is warmer over there.

Number of Clubs Eyeing Fernando Llorente

FBL-EUR-C1-TOTTENHAM-ARRIVAL

Despite now being 34-years-old, that hasn’t stopped a number of clubs across Europe holding an interest in the Spurs striker, who looks increasingly likely to leave north London this summer.

Great news for him, however, is that both Milan clubs, Roma, Galatasaray and Athletic Bilbao are keeping tabs on the Spaniard according to A Bola.

Clearly his contribution during Spurs’ Champions League campaign did the trick, and few Tottenham fans would wish anything but good luck to the forward, despite finding the back of the net only 13 times in 65 outings.

Paul Pogba: 5 Options Which Make Far More Sense for Real Madrid Than Signing the Frenchman

If this summer has taught us anything, it is that Zinedine Zidane wants Paul Pogba at Real Madrid.

Unfortunately for him, Manchester United don’t want to sell. Los Blancos may not get their man, but is that even a bad thing? There are plenty of other moves which make far more sense.

Here are five options Real should consider instead of signing Pogba.

Sign Fabian & Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen

So, let’s start with the option that has been suggested in Spain. Not only is it a matter of ‘two is better than one’, but the two that Real would be getting are truly special.

Napoli’s Fabian is the true alternative to Pogba here. A physical presence with deceptive agility, the 23-year-old can do everything in midfield, just like Pogba can. Whilst his goal and assist rate may not be as high as Pogba’s, he still has plenty of time to improve on that, and Los Blancos could certainly help him do so.

He would be far cheaper than Pogba, which leaves money available to bring in Christian Eriksen. The Tottenham Hotspur man wants out this summer, and his creativity would cover for Fabian until the Spaniard develops his game. This bolsters the squad in two positions, and feels like a no-brainer.

Play Dani Ceballos & Isco

Dani Ceballos

Why Real would even consider selling Dani Ceballos is anyone’s guess. The Spaniard has immense potential which has been on show at the European Under-21 Championship, and scouts around the world are keeping their eyes on him.

He can score goals and he can create them too, so he offers exactly what Real are looking for with Pogba. But, if that’s not enough for Zinedine Zidane, then bringing Isco back into the fold should do the trick.

When Isco is given the chance, he can be one of Europe’s finest creators. He could combine with Luka Jovic or Eden Hazard and terrorise defenders across the continent, and it wouldn’t cost Real anything new.

Sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic & Adrien Rabiot

Sergej Milinkovic Savic

To those with short memories, signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Adrien Rabiot is about as bad of an idea as you can get. However, if you look past the pair’s disappointing seasons, the frightening potential is clear to see.

Beginning with Milinkovic-Savic, he does everything that Pogba can. He can rack up the goals and assists, whilst his composure, physicality and technique are almost identical to the Frenchman’s. Milinkovic-Savic would be a cheaper alternative, and he is two years younger.

Add that to the free signing of Rabiot, who is available upon the expiry of his Paris Saint-Germain contract, and you’ve got yourself a terrifying midfield. Rabiot can sit deep and pull the strings, but is also capable of stepping forward and adding the odd goal in the process. This pairing offer anything Real could possibly want from Pogba.

Sign Donny van de Beek & Save Money

FBL-EUR-C1-TOTTENHAM-AJAX

Just because Real have the money to sign two players this summer, doesn’t mean they have to.

Donny van de Beek – a vital part of the Ajax side who took Europe by storm last season – is another viable option. From midfield, the 22-year-old bagged 17 goals and 13 assists last season, including an assist against Real at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Erik ten Hag’s system showcases the best of Van de Beek’s movement, so he is clearly comfortable bursting forward when he needs to. He may not offer the most defensively, but that’s not his job.

Commit to Federico Valverde

Federico Valverde

At his best, Pogba is a free-flowing, box-to-box powerhouse – almost a graceful wrecking ball. Now, how would you describe 20-year-old Federico Valverde?

Whilst he is far from the finished product, the signs are there that Valverde could develop into the kind of player that Pogba is today. The Frenchman was 19 when Juventus gave him his big break, and Real could do the same for Valverde.

This is more of a long-term option, but the potential benefits are enormous. Not only would they save a huge amount of money, but they would also be rewarded with their own star midfielder.

Real Madrid Confirm Plans to Create a Women’s Team After Purchasing Tacón CD

Real Madrid have finally confirmed plans to create a women’s team after purchasing Madrid based side Tacón CD.

Los Blancos had been the only one of the three major Spanish/Catalan football clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid) to not have a ‘femenino’ team.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona both formed the current iterations of their women’s teams back in 2001, and have since dominated the Primera Divison de la Liga Futbal Femenino; winning seven league titles between them.

In a ‘comunicado oficial’, Real Madrid confirmed that they would join the Spanish/Catalan giants in creating a women’s team, :

“The Board of Directors of Real Madrid CF, meeting today, Tuesday, June 25, 2019, has agreed to propose to the next General Assembly of Members to be held, the merger by absorption of Club Deportivo Tacón, of women’s football, with effect July 1 of 2020.

“During this next season 2019-2020, the first team of the Tacón CD will train and play their games at Ciudad Real Madrid, in a framework of transitory collaboration between both clubs.”

Real Madrid’s women’s team (as of yet unnamed), will become an entity prior to the 2020/21 season, and we should expect this new side to be bursting at the seams with some of the best and brightest talents in world football.

Florentino Perez

A new ‘Galacticas‘ could well be formed, and we may finally – FINALLY – have a team that can challenge Lyon on the European stage.

Transfer Rumours: Man Utd Back in for Sancho, Spurs Eye £15m-Rated Winger, Zaniolo to Juve & More

In a week where Luis Suárez appealed for a penalty after the goalkeeper handled the ball inside his own penalty area, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that some of the transfer rumours floating around are just as bizarre as the Uruguayan’s antics against Chile.

Here’s a handful of some of the best (and weirdest) transfer stories that are currently doing the rounds.

James Rodriguez Forced to Wait on Napoli Switch by Florentino Pérez

James Rodriguez

S.S.C. Napoli’s move for Colombia international James Rodriguez has been temporarily halted by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.

The 27-year-old has reportedly already agreed to link up with his former manager Carlo Ancelotti in Naples, but TuttoNapoli report that decision-makers in the Spanish capital want to delay the move whilst Colombia continue their journey in the Copa América.

It’s claimed that Real Madrid’s head honcho Pérez is looking to use the tournament in Brazil as a way of driving Rodriguez’s price up, similar to how Los Blancos were forced to pay a premium for his signature following the 2014 World Cup.

Tottenham Consider Cut-Price Deal for Danish Winger Andreas Skov Olsen

Nordsjælland starlet Andreas Skov Olsen has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham this summer, with the Denmark Under-21 international set to enter the final 12 months of his contract in Farum.

The 19-year-old was involved in 32 goals across all competitions for the club last season, announcing himself as one of Denmark’s brightest talents alongside his namesake Robert Skov at Copenhagen, who has also popped on Tottenham’s radar.

Although the wheels aren’t in motion to bring Olsen to north London, The Mirror claim that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are keeping tabs on the teenager as he’s expected to be available at a cut-price £15m due to his contract situation with Nordsjælland.

Coach Claims Arsenal Target Can Become ‘Best Midfielder in the World’

RB Salzburg v SKN St. Poelten - Tipico Bundesliga

Arsenal transfer target Dominik Szoboszlai can become the ‘best centre-midfielder in the world’, according to RB Salzburg’s assistant coach Rene Maric.

The Hungarian teenager recently emerged as a potential signing for Unai Emery, although Arsenal remain short of matching Szoboszlai’s £15m asking price.

Salzburg’s Rene Maric played down links with a move to north London, but he also added fuel to the fire by claiming that the 18-year-old has the potential to become one of the best players on the planet.

Everton & Arsenal Target ‘Not on the Market’ Despite €25m Offers

Armando Izzo

Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Torino defender Armando Izzo could be rewarded with a new contract with the Serie A club, despite being the subject of interest from Arsenal and Everton.

According to Di Marzio, offers of €25m were being readied by the two Premier League sides ahead of a meeting between Torino’s chairman Urbano Cairo and Izzo’s agent on Tuesday.

But they add that Izzo is not being put up for sale after his stand-out season with the club, with Cairo instead looking to offer the 27-year-old centre-back an improved contract ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Manchester United ‘Relaunch Interest’ in Jadon Sancho Ahead of Double Exit

Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have apparently reignited their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, as they prepare to cash in on both Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba.

It’s a story which is being peddled by The Sun, who have cited an article from Forbes as where the rumour originally came from.

But nowhere in Forbes’ piece does it come close to suggesting that Manchester United will come back in for Sancho after Lukaku and Pogba’s futures are sorted.

In fact, the article which The Sun have cited is claiming the exact opposite, leading with the title: “Manchester United Accept Signing Jadon Sancho Not Possible This Summer.”

Juventus’ €35m Bid for Nicolò Zaniolo Rejected by Roma

Nicolo' Zaniolo

Serie A champions Juventus have seen their €35m offer to sign Italian wonderkid Nicolò Zaniolo rejected by AS Roma, according to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira (via Football Italia).

The 19-year-old only arrived in the Italian capital last summer following a move from Inter, but Zaniolo is already widely regarded as one of the most exciting prospects across Europe.

Eager to lure the teenager to Turin, Juventus are claimed to have submitted a €35m bid which has quickly been rejected, but the club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici is remaining in contact with Zaniolo’s representatives.

Paris Saint-Germain Shortlist Nélson Semedo as Need for Reinforcements Increases

Nelson Semedo

Barcelona defender Nélson Semedo has emerged as a transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain ahead of an exodus of right-backs in the French capital.

Dani Alves has already confirmed that he will not renew his contract, while Thomas Meunier is also expected to be sold as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract.

Looking to bolster that position back up, AS (via Sport) claim that PSG want to bring Barcelona’s Semedo to the Parc des Princes this summer, but the Catalan side are unlikely to budge from the defender’s €100m release clause.

One thing that has been suggested is that Semedo could be used as a makeweight to help bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou.

James Rodríguez Blasts Decision-Making at Real Madrid as Midfielder Is Shown Exit Door

James Rodríguez, who is currently playing with Colombia at the Copa America, has blasted Real Madrid’s decision-making amid speculation of a permanent departure from Los Blancos.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a permanent exit from the Santiago Bernabéu, despite Bayern Munich failing to trigger his buy-out clause last season after his two-year loan spell with the Bavarian giants came to an end.

James Rodriguez

With Los Blancos going on a spending spree this summer, Rodríguez finds himself once again out of favour at the club and as reported by Marca, he left no holds barred after Colombia’s 1-0 victory over Paraguay in the Copa America.

“Right now I am thinking about the Copa America and I don’t know where I’ll be going,” he said.

“The decision depends on the club. I think there are some people inside the club who decide a lot and I can’t do anything.”

He has also confirmed that he is yet to speak with manager Zinedine Zidane, whom he had a tough relationship with when he last played at the La Liga outfit, being left out of the squad in the 2016/17 Champions League final.

James Rodriguez,Carlo Ancelotti

The Colombian midfielder is finding his options to be quite sparse, with Napoli the only club heavily linked to secure his services. Carlo Ancelotti is said to be a huge fan of the playmaker having previously worked with him during his time in charge of both Real and Bayern.

It has been previously reported that Los Merengues are not willing to let James leave on loan as they need to recoup some funds for another blockbuster signing, such as Paul Pogba or Kylian Mbappé.

Vinícius Jr Predicts That Kylian Mbappe Will Join Real Madrid as Speculation Heats Up

Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior has welcomed the potential arrival of PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Amid a summer of change for the 13-time European champions, Mbappe has been one of many players linked with a move to the Spanish capital.

Adding fuel to the transfer rumour fire, the 20-year-old also recently admitted wanting to take on ‘more responsibility’, either at PSG or ’elsewhere with a new project’.

FBL-EURO-2020-QUALIFIER-FRA-AND

A recent report claims Real Madrid will step up their interest in Mbappe next year, while 18-year-old Vinícius is apparently on board for the move.

Speaking with French media outlet Telefoot (as quoted by AS), he told reporter Julien Maynard: “Of course I know that all Real Madrid fans are dreaming of Mbappé.

“But it’s not just Madrid fans but fans of every team. Everybody wants to see him here [in La Liga] soon and I think he will come. There’s no doubt we’d win a lot of trophies together.”

TOPSHOT-FBL-FRA-LIGUE1-TOULOUSE-PSG

Vinícius added that he has previously conversed with Mbappe over Instagram.

He said: “We don’t really know each other but we chat on Instagram, we send each other messages. I really look up to him, he’s already won a lot of titles and if he really is going to come [to Madrid] that would be great.”
