Gareth Bale to Miss Real Madrid’s Champions League Clash with Tottenham Hotspur

Gareth Bale was looking to return to the Real Madrid squad in time to face his former club Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium in November.

After picking up a calf injury more than a month ago in a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, the Welshman has been advised to rest and as he has been ruled out until mid-November after international break, The Sun reports.

While talking to the press, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane revealed that although Bale would be training with the rest of the squad, he still isn’t 100% ready to go out on the pitch.

“Bale is already on the field, almost ready to train with the team, but I can’t give you a date for when he’s back,” the former Galactico said.

The current Champions League holders are likely to play the games against Girona, Spurs and Las Palmas without the wingers.

With the likes of Marco Ascensio already in the team, Zidane may have some leeway on the wing with the youngster’s incredible form.
