Media Watch: Havertz sends gifts to former team-mates, Hoddle reveals nearly signing Bergkamp and Diego Costa tipped for Premier League return

Blues midfielder Kai Havertz has been applauded for his classy Christmas gesture to his former Bayer Leverkusen team-mates.

The German gifted each of his ex-colleagues a Chelsea shirt and a thank you card for all their support during his time at the club.

Leverkusen’s managing director of sport Rudi Voller was delighted with the gesture.

‘I was very happy about it and thanked him,’ he said.

‘That is Kai, he is and will remain a boy in our club.’

The gifts were delivered in a personalised box with the Chelsea logo and the ‘KH’ initials, as reported in the Daily Mail.

Havertz moved to Stamford Bridge from Leverkusen in the summer after spending 10 years at the club.
