Away day delight for the Blues

Jorginho’s first-half penalty secured the points as we maintained our perfect league record at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which opened its doors two years ago, following a 2-0 victory on our inaugural visit last season.

With 10 Premier League wins at White Hart Lane and a 2-1 triumph in a 2017 encounter at their temporary home at Wembley, we now have 13 away victories against Spurs in the competition, matching our record of success against Southampton.

Our record against the Saints is perhaps more remarkable as it has come in only 21 games, eight fewer than we have played against Tottenham in the Premier League. Four victories were at The Dell while nine have been recorded at St Mary’s Stadium including our current run of five consecutive wins since 2016.

Manchester City are third on our list of away successes with 12 although they have improved their record in recent years with three wins on the bounce against us since they were beaten 3-1 at the Eithad Stadium in 2016.
