Bridge of sighs – Chelsea’s longest unbeaten runs at home

In terms of overall league matches, Spurs still lead the way with 27 as their winless run at the Bridge actually began in 1990, predating the start of the Premier League by two years.

Newcastle are still in third place but their position relates to their fruitless 22-match run from 1955 to 1981.

The Magpies appear twice on the list along with Everton, who endured an earlier frustrating run of 19 games from 1956 to 1975, and Leicester City, who were winless in 20 games from 1966 to 2000 and 17 from 1906 to 1960.

In terms of years, our longest unbeaten league run at home is against Hull City who lost 5-1 in the first-ever league game at Stamford Bridge in 1905 and have failed to win on any of their previous 18 league visits to our west London home.
