Nunn has featured 13 times for Andy Myers’ side this term and although most of his appearances have come in attack, the Republic of Ireland youth international has also featured in the less-familiar position of left wing-back.
‘It’s been an alright season, not the best I’ve had but I’m glad to be getting game time. As a striker, I want to contribute goals and assists to the team and it’s something I’ve got to keep working on,’ he said.
‘I have been playing left wing-back and as a striker. Even though it’s been by circumstance I have enjoyed playing there [left wing-back]. I can see the whole pitch in front of me and I’m always open to playing anywhere the manager needs me to. Being a versatile player is important in the modern game and I’ve learned that more this season than ever.’
After the Man City game this weekend the squad have a week’s break from matches due to the international window. However Nunn’s focus remains on a strong finish to the season.
‘It will be good to have a little rest after this weekend’s game but we need to remain focused to try and finish as high as we can in the league. The main goal is to keep fighting until the end, if we keep working had through the international break it will set us up well for the remainder of the season.’
