Mount looks forward to another special night in ‘the lion’s den’ at Wembley

Wembley will be up to 75 per cent full for tonight’s semi-final, with the majority inside the stadium backing the hosts and a special atmosphere sure to be awaiting a group of players who have restored belief and pride back in the national team.

Mount is eager to experience the sounds and sights of a home crowd, insisting it will provide all the motivation England need to get the job done and ensure they are back for the final on Sunday.

‘It will be a special day, especially with a few more fans there to create the atmosphere,’ he added. ‘You’re in the lion’s den and you have to come and perform so we’re obviously going to give it our best.

‘It’s unbelievable to play at Wembley and all our games there so far have been special games to be involved in. I was on the bench for Germany but now it’s a semi-final at Wembley and hopefully we can reach the final as well. That has been our goal and our focus from the start.’
